Rajasthan Special - Elephant Festival Jaipur

Elephant Festival Jaipur

Every year in the month of March Elephant Festival is Celebrated in Jaipur.On the Festival Day the Elephants are decorated beautifully .They are painted in different styles and tattoos.

Also during the festival day many other functions like ELEPHANT POLO and ELEPHANT PARADE is done.

There are around 250 Elephants in Jaipur and most of them come in the Festival.

  23. How spectacularly the elephants are decorated! it must take forever to paint those scenes on their skin! I wonder if they feel as beautiful as they look? I really enjoyed the parade - esp seeing the "baby" elephants.

  81. I just saw some elephants in Florida, but they were African elephants. I hear that Asian elephants are more peaceful and reliable. These elephants are magnificent and so colorful.
