Indian Style Exercise-Sadhu(Saint)

This Photograph Is Captured From Place Known As Varansi-Banaras(India) .A Big Saint Festival Was Organised And Saints From All Over The India Came To Visit The Place To Take Holy Bath In River Ganga (The Most Sacred Hindu River). The Person In The Pose Is Doing Yoga(Exercise) Which Is An Other Way To Make The God Happy. This Pose Is Known As "Padmastak Aasan" Which In English Is Known As "Head Feet Combination".This Is Now A Days Is Not In Practice And Very Rarely We Can Get The Opportunity To See Such Saint's Doing Such Things. It Is Really Amazing That Even The Gymnast's Cannot Perform Such Exercises After Lot Much Of Practice Wherein These Great People Can Easily Do It Without Any Training..I Am Really Proud Of India !!! Amazing But True !!!

I had to get on the floor and try this. I can get my knees and feet on the ground behind my head, and then I tried to inch them closer together. Ouch, I think I pulled something.

Your site is a treat! Really enjoy it.

Another fascinating post! This saint must be made of rubber as it appears to be humanly impossible to accomplish such a feat without breaking many bones.

It is truly amazing.

Thanks for this and thanks for coming by Cedar Key DP!

Sadhus are amazing! I've seen many in Nepal (more than in India), but never doing such an exercise...

A fabulous photo and what an amazing feat for the sadhu to complete. I really enjoyed Varanasi and felt the spirituality that exists. It is a unique place and there are so many photo opportunities. It is a place to stay for awhile. I am glad you enjoyed the photos on my site. I look forward to more photos on your site as well. I very much enjoyed my time in India.
