I'm sorry, but reading your description I just started laughing! People can be made to believe anything, either about themselves, or about other people or other things.
It's all rather sad. What nonsense. This so-called "saint" is nothing more than a silly, sort of wasted human being!
And all of that is why it is so important we teach our children about science and the scientific method so they have some means of evaluating this kind of baloney...

How did you manage to capture this photo? Were you very close or using a telephoto lens? Were you scared?

How unusual that he is out during the day. What brought him out?
Are there many Sadhu's, like a tribe, or just a few?
Because this saint has a human body, he must have family, a mother and father. . . when does one become Sadhu?
Where does the Sadhu live?
What would he do if he needed serious medical care?

Hi Immersion,Well I Was In Varanasi For Official Meeting And In The Evening I Went On To The Bank Of The River.I Got The Opportunity To Click The Photograph.I Was Not Scard Because I Didnt Knew About The Mentioned Facts.After Clicking The Photo I Asked One Of The Old Man Sitting Nearby About Him That Is He Mad To That He Replied No He Is Aghori Sadhu And He Only Told Me About Them.
No These Type Of People We Can Easily Find In Few Selected Places Of India Like In Pushkar-Rajasthan,Varanasi-UP,Allahabad-UP As These All Are Very Spritual Places.
Well Yes They Do Have A Family But They Leave Them Just Because They Are Out Of This Human World And Dnt Wish To Keep Contact With Anyone.A Person Becomes Sadhu Only When He Feels That He Should Dedicate Himself To God Completely.
Sadhus Live In Jungles,Huts In Small Villages,Mountains,Near River,Sometimes In Graveyards Too.
The Last Question Is Wonderful They Never Fall Ill Beither Have Any Serious Body Problem In Life.But It Is Said That When They Die It Is A Pain of 13 Days.That Means Their Last 13 Days Of Life Are very Bad And This Ways They Die As What They Do Is Not Accepted In Indian Culture.They Are Aghori Sadhu And Not Sadhu.

I always find it fascinating the way different cultures react. In most western countries, someone like this would probably be arrested for indecent exposure and put in a psych ward....however, people can wander around the beach, pool, etc, in clothing that barely covers the *naughty* bits abd leaves nothing to the imagination and nobody blinks..
